Precinct car parking

NOTICE TO ALL UNIVERSITY PARKING PERMIT HOLDERS (EXCEPT DEPARTMENTAL)

Please note that if you have more than one vehicle registered on your University parking permit, you MUST ensure that the correct vehicle is active on your permit BEFORE parking on campus.

To switch the active vehicle on your permit, log on to your online parking account, select ‘history’ on the home page and click on the green vehicle icon against your permit.

Failure to ensure the vehicle you wish to park on campus is both registered and active on your permit may result in enforcement action. For further information please see our parking terms and conditions.

Limited car parking is available at locations across the University for those unable to travel on foot, by bike or by public transport.

These pages provide information on car parking on the University’s main Precinct and satellite sites. Use the menu on the left of this page to navigate to specific guidance on parking for staff (including car sharers), students, departments, contractors and visitors.

Information on car parking at University Residences and at our Langford campus is available separately via the main car parking menu.

Precinct car parking policy

The parking policy for the University Precinct and satellite sites came into force in January 2016. 

The University Precinct Parking Policy Summary (2018) (PDF, 866kB) is available to view. 

The policy defines the criteria and process by which parking permits will be allocated to University staff (including car-sharers), disabled staff and students, departments, contractors and visitors. A list of University car parks (2018) (PDF, 79kB)‌ covered by this policy is also available to view. 

By parking at any of the car parks covered by the policy, users agree to abide by the University's Parking Terms and Conditions.

Applying for a permit

All parking permit applications should be submitted using the online parking permit and coupon management system.

Where applicable, the scheduled dates for the interim parking permit application rounds during 2018/19 are as follows:
