PROOF-THR study
This study was a pilot randomised controlled trial of occupational therapy to optimise recovery for patients undergoing primary total hip replacement.
Forty-four (44) patients took part in the PROOF study. They provided information to the research team for 6 months (26 weeks) following their hip replacement.
The study found that the intervention was acceptable and provided the information required to conduct a definitive trial.
