Mature students

If you are thinking about returning to education, our open days will help you to explore opportunities at Bristol and decide if we are right for you.

A mature student is anyone aged 21 and over when starting their course at the University of Bristol. Join our mature students' drop-in sessions or book one of the talks to find out more about being a mature student at Bristol.

Mature students' information session

10:30 am, 12 pm in The Richmond Building, Pegg Theatre

This talk will focus on topics relevant to applying to university as a mature student. We will also look at what support and funding is available. Book your place on the talk when you book the open day.

Mature students' lounge

9:30 am to 4 pm in The Richmond Building, Anson Rooms Bar

Come to our mature students' lounge to learn more about our undergraduate courses, mature student life and the support we can offer.

You will be able to speak with current mature students and University staff and explore learning opportunities at Bristol.

There is no need to book, just drop in. Children are welcome.

Please note that the lounge will be closed between 10:30 am to 11 am and 12 pm to 12:30 pm for the talks.

Other mature students' events

If you are unable to attend one of our open days, we run information sessions for mature students throughout the year.
