Students' Union

The University of Bristol's Students' Union, Bristol SU, exists to help all students have the best possible time while they are at Bristol.

Student-led services and opportunities

Bristol SU is run by students and is central to your University experience. We can support all aspects of your student life:

  • We represent students’ views to the University through elected student officers and course representatives.
  • We run more than 330 sports clubs and societies covering a wide range of interests.
  • We provide volunteering and sustainability programmes and many other initiatives.
  • We organise club nights, debates and conferences.
  • We provide quality services, such as our lettings agency and our advice service.

Whatever your need, we can help. If we aren't currently providing what you need us to, come and speak to us and we'll see if we can make it happen.

Bristol SU Spaces

The Students’ Union is a multi-site organisation with spaces for students at the heart of campus in Senate House, and in The Richmond Building. Senate House is where most Bristol SU staff are based, and you can also find space to relax in the SU Living Room, or work collaboratively in the SU Loft.

The Richmond Building houses two theatres, a café-bar, photography darkroom, pottery and dance studios, rehearsal rooms and a swimming pool. It is also home to one of the city's largest gig venues, the Anson Rooms, which has hosted big names including David Bowie, Radiohead, Ed Sheeran and London Grammar.

I love that there is such a long list of societies to choose from, where you can meet people and participate in fun activities.
