We aim to provide a wide range of opportunities for our students, so that whether you wish to represent the University in a tournament, or simply take a yoga class with your friends between lectures, you’ll find something for you.
You don’t need us to tell you about all the benefits of sport and activity; it’s well known how positive an effect it can have on your mental and physical wellbeing, something which we care passionately about at the University of Bristol. Taking part in sport can help you settle in at University and get used to University life, it’s a great way to meet new people and make lasting friendships on and off the pitch. You can also develop your employability skills with our volunteering, leadership and coaching programmes.
Joining one of our Performance Sport clubs is a chance for you to take pride in yourself and in the University, and you’ll have the support of one of our 30 dedicated Performance Coaches to help you unlock your potential.
We are excited that the City of Bristol will be a European City of Sport in 2017, and together Bristol SU and the University want to be at the forefront of planning activities to celebrate this.
At Bristol sport is more than just a Wednesday afternoon filler, it's about belonging to a community of students, passionate about living life well and to the full.
