Dr Oliver Quick has been invited to speak at a conference about ‘Doctors, Manslaughter and Avoidable Harm’ to be held in London on April 10th 2015. The conference will bring together doctors, lawyers, law makers, hospital managers, medical defence organisations and others to discuss the implications for patient care resulting from the apparent increase of criminal prosecutions following fatal medical mistakes.
Oliver has written widely about medical manslaughter, and has carried out empirical research projects investigating how prosecutors and experts negotiate law and process in this context.
