Entry requirements for the International A-levels, European and International Baccalaureates
International A-levels
We welcome applications from students taking International A-levels, and grade requirements are the same as for UK A-levels. For typical A-level offers, please consult the Undergraduate prospectus. Each course page contains our entry requirements.
European Baccalaureate
We welcome applications from students following the European Baccalaureate programme. Most programmes offered at Bristol require an overall percentage of 77% or more, with some demanding scores of 88%. Some departments will also require specific grades in relevant subjects eg 7 out of 10 in physics for an engineering programme. Please refer to the Undergraduate prospectus for specific subject requirements.

International Baccalaureate
We welcome applications from students following the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme. Most degree courses offered at Bristol require a point score of at least 32 with some requirements as high as 40 points, with 18 points at Higher Level. Where specified subjects are required at A Level, we may specify 7 points at Higher Level for grade A*, 6 points at Higher Level for grade A, and 5 points at Higher Level for grade B.

Please note that the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme is accepted as a level 2 qualification and alternative to GCSE.
