We offer a conducive home for critical gender scholarship:

• We have a long-standing tradition of gender research, informed by insights from our three 'sister' disciplines of international relations, politics and sociology
• Scholars will benefit from the wider school inter-disciplinary research environment
• Other research centres in the school, the Global Insecurities Centre and the Centre for the Study of Ethnicity and Citizenship, also house gender research
• Gender is a University Research theme, and there are other gender centres within the faculty including:
  • Gender and Contemporary Social Change
  • the Gender Interdisciplinary Group
  • the Gender and Violence group.
