As Pro Vice-Chancellor responsible for Personnel and as Chair of the University’s Equality and Diversity Committee, I am delighted to welcome you to this website where we will publicise all opportunities for involvement in University governance.

Council (our governing body) and Senate (our principal academic body) and their various committees play an important role in University life, shaping new strategy and initiatives to help us maintain our position as a thriving international community dedicated to learning, discovery and enterprise.

This web site has been developed to ensure that opportunities to join University Committees are publicised openly to all staff, in an effort to improve the diversity of our decision-making bodies.. In addition, we will use this resource to publicise vacancies on University Council, Senate, external boards and other opportunities that may arise.
