Sophie, MSc Conversion programme
Having studied an undergraduate degree in another discipline, I wanted to complete a BPS accredited conversion course in order to pursue a career in Psychology.
I chose this course at Bristol primarily because of its scope. Before starting the conversion, I was unsure which area of Psychology I wanted to focus on so I was looking for an MSc programme that would give a broad overview of the subject and keep various options open to me. I’m now hoping to go on to study a postgraduate research degree but the course has also introduced me to other areas of Psychology, such as Clinical, that could be open to me in the future.
The School of Psychological Science is a great place to study – it’s small enough that you feel part of a community, but big enough that there’s always plenty going on.
As conversion students, we’ve all taken a different route in to Psychology and bring perspectives from a range of different subjects, which makes it a really interesting programme to be part of.
