The Bristol Institute for Teaching and Learning’s 2022 shortlist for Teaching Awards has been published, and prizes will be awarded on 8 June. The Awards recognise staff who have made an outstanding contribution to teaching, supporting students and enhancing the student learning experience. 900 nominations were made this year, so making it onto the shortlist is quite a feat!
Ad’s nominations mention his ‘kindness’, ‘encouragement’, his careful, expert feedback and talent for helping students make new connections. Laurence’s nominations describe how he ‘stands out’ among the great tutors in the department. He ‘looks out for the students with extraordinary understanding’ and ‘makes difficult conversations feel as though they are the easiest topics in the world’.
Congratulations to them both!
