The Bristol Doctoral College and partners including the Bristol Institute for Learning and Teaching and the Bristol Students’ Union have implemented wide range of changes as a result of feedback from PRES 2019. At a local level, your faculties and schools have also been responding to the needs of the PGR community, including adaptation in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Faculty and school education plans

Your school and/or faculty developed a detailed Education Action Plan to ensure they responded directly to their most relevant areas for improvement from PRES 2019. Education Action Plans are held in the QA Framework Documents SharePoint site

PRES 2019 outcomes and recommendations

The University's PGR Committee developed a list of 12 recommendations as a result of PRES 2019.

We did...

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic...

the Bristol Doctoral College ran over 40 social events, training and workshops at the PGR Hub between September and December 2019.

Since the pandemic....

we have run a range of online community building activties, from Book and Film Clubs to workshops and quizzes.

The Hub has a great atmosphere and provides a very welcoming space that facilitates a good sense of community for all PGRs which is also benefitted by how helpful and friendly the PGR Hub team are!
