PhD Studentship in renewables
The Department has strong links with the renewable energy sector in both the structures and materials area and the numerical simulation area. A fully-funded PhD project is available in aeroelastic optimisation of wind turbine blades with bend-twist coupling. This is an exciting multi-disciplinary project, allowing the opportunity to perform research in high-fidelity aerodynamic simulation, aeroelastic modelling and stability prediction, and aeroelastic optimisation, and apply to work to industrial problems.
Note that funding restrictions may restrict those eligible; please check this in each advert.
