Introduction

Student houses offer around 70 self-catered places across five properties, all owned and managed by the University. These properties are smaller in size to other residences. Eight of the houses are located within the University precinct area and the other house is located in Redland, a 25 minute walk away.

Living in student houses

Student houses offer a more independent option to the tradition hall set-up. However they are fully supported by a warden and team of senior residents. Each house, or group of houses, has a senior resident who is there to offer pastoral and practical guidance.

The size of the properties enable students to form smaller, supportive communities

All residents in student houses benefit from being members of Orbital who, in addition to organising a packed social calendar, have a strong presence in the University's intramural sports leagues fielding teams in a wide range of sports.

Accommodation

The properties vary in size from 8 - 28 residents and offer accommodation in converted houses. Student houses have a range of room types, from shared rooms for two students, single rooms with or without basin, all with shared bathrooms.
