Purpose
The main purpose of the group is to advise Education Committee on areas of work relating to student information and consumer protection law.
Terms of Reference
The terms of reference of the group are to:
- Continue to review published information on all course costs with a view to making recommendations where there are issues relating to this.
- Continue to review policies, procedures and regulations, specifically focussing on those relating to non-standard entrants such as direct entry (e.g. part-time), incoming Erasmus and Intercalators.
- Monitor publication of teaching and assessment data in prospectus, reviewing how this is published and the mechanisms behind the publication.
- Maintain an overview of consumer protection guidance and issues.
- Monitor how Education programme developments are communicated and advertised to current and future students

The Committee aims to meet six times during 2019/20.
