What do the teaching blocks (TB) mean?
This year is a professional placement year, during which students work in industry.
The placement year can be in an accounting firm or in the finance department of another organisation, approved by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales as an authorised trainer.
Students going on the placement are paid, and can work towards a professional accounting qualification – taking the first stage of professional examinations during their placement and accruing relevant work experience which contributes to the ACA award.
