Projects aim to characterise how altered expression of molecules involved in key regulatory pathways contribute to disease.  In turn, this will enable the identification and testing of novel therapeutic approaches to augment expression of these factors to restore tissue homeostasis during early phase of disease and thereby mitigate the cell loss and pathological changes associated with late-stage AMD.
