Neurogenetics is the study of how genes regulate the development and function of the nervous system.  We collaborate with the MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit, Dementia group, South West Dementia Brain bank, Institute of Clinical Neurosciences and neuroscientists within the School of Physiology, Pharmacology and Neuroscience to investigate how genetic, phenotypic and lifestyle factors influence neurodevelopment and neurodegeneration of the CNS.

Current projects:

1. Ocular biomarkers of Alzheimer’s disease

2. Neuropathological changes associated with Alzheimer's Disease

3. Vision and eye movement abnormalities in children with epilepsy

4. The TIME study: The Impact on Memory of Epilepsy

5. Computational modelling and function of dentate gyrus circuitry
