HEmiSPHERE

HEmiSPHERE stands for the Hip and KnEe study of a Sensor Platform for Healthcare in a Residential Environment.

The research is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), within the SPHERE interdisciplinary research collaboration programme. SPHERE is developing a system of sensors for the home that will help to support health and wellbeing.

HEmiSPHERE is led by the University of Bristol’s Musculoskeletal Research Unit, based at Southmead Hospital, Bristol. HEmiSPHERE will find out how to make sure that the SPHERE sensor system can have value to health professionals and patients who are having hip or knee joint replacement.
