Buying bike accessories

Information on how to buy bike locks and lights at a discounted price and discounts available at local bike shops.

It is important to use a good quality cycle lock (silver rated or higher) and cycle lights.

The University sells Gold-rated D-Locks and cycle lights at heavily discounted prices for students, and at wholesale prices for staff members.

Buying locks and lights

Clifton Campus

Locks and lights can be purchased in person from:

  • Security Services at Royal Fort Security Lodge during their opening hours Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm (Card payments only are accepted),
  • The Bristol SU Shop  with the physical shop open Monday to Friday, 10 am - 4 pm. 

North Somerset (Langford) Campus

If you are collecting from the North Somerset (Langford) Campus, you can buy cycle locks and lights online from the University Online shop. Collection is from the Winscombe building reception. You will need to show your receipt (either printed or on your phone) and Ucard to the reception staff on collection.
