For the English part of your course, you'll study a wide range of literature written in English, from the medieval period to the present day. This will include the close, analytical study of poetry, fiction and drama, as well as critical and theoretical approaches to studying literature.

In your second and third years, you'll choose from a range of stimulating options and research-led special subjects, including creative writing.

In your third year, you'll have the opportunity to write a dissertation on a topic that excites you, bringing together everything you've learned.
