What to expect at your Theatre with Innovation offer holder event

Once you have received an offer to study at the University of Bristol, you will receive your email invitation to attend an offer holder event.

We have planned the day to provide you with a taste of studying your subject at Bristol as well as insights into making the most of student life here.

This event is for offer holders for the following courses:

  • Theatre with Innovation (MArts)


10 am - 10:15 am

Registration

A warm welcome to the Department of Theatre, where you will be greeted by our Academic staff and student ambassadors with the information you need for your day. 

10:15 am - 10:45 am

Taster Lecture

One of our academics will give a lecture that draws on their research and will give you an experience of how staff research interests are used in teaching on the course.     

10:45 am - 11:30 am

Taster Sessions

Join our academics in a taster workshops where you can engage with some of the learning materials taught on the course.   

11:30 am - 12 pm

Course Talk and Q&A session

An introduction to Theatre at the University of Bristol from our team, where we talk about what to expect from teaching, learning and your student experience at Bristol. At the end, you will be able to ask any questions you have to our panel of staff and students. 

12 pm - 12:30 pm

Meet and Greet

To end the session, we have set aside time for you to network with our staff, current students and other prospective students to ask any remaining questions you have.

You will have time here to have a break and then make your way over to the next part of your day.

Making Innovation Your Home: Course Structure

An overview of the course structure and how your subject specialism ties in.

2:20 pm - 2:50 pm

Human Centered Design, Client-led Briefs or Prototyping Workshop

Practical workshop where everyone gets involved and has a taste of being an Innovation student.

2:50 pm - 3:40 pm

Innovation career or an innovative start-up? Your choice

Hear about the type of career you could go to through examples from recent graduates. 

3:40 pm - 4 pm

Tea, Coffee and Networking

Tea and coffee will be available while informally discussing the programme, or as grab and go.
