What to expect at your Social Policy and Politics Joint Honours offer holder event

We have planned the day to provide you with a taste of studying your subject at Bristol as well as insights into making the most of student life here.

This event is for offer holders for the following course:

• Social Policy and Politics (BSc)

If you are a Joint Honours student, you may attend Single Honours offer holder events for each part of your degree if you are unable to attend the Joint Honours event on this date. 

Please book one subject from your Joint Honours degree using the booking form. If you would like to attend an event for the second subject on a different date, contact on visit-us@bristol.ac.uk +44 (0)117 394 1649 and the team will help arrange this for you.

Social Policy Registration

A warm welcome to the School for Policy Studies, where you will be greeted by our academic staff and student ambassadors with the information you need for your visit. 

1 pm - 1:30 pm

Course Overview 

An introduction to Social Policy at the University of Bristol from our team, where we will talk about what to expect from teaching, learning and your student experience at Bristol.     

1:30 pm - 1:40 pm

Tea and Coffee

An opportunity for a short tea/coffee break.  

1:40 pm - 2 pm

Networking Activity

A networking activity with current students.

2 pm - 2:30 pm

Taster Activity

Join our academics in a taster seminar where you can engage with some of the learning materials taught on the course.

You will be escorted to your next part of the day by our ambassadors.

2:45 pm - 3:30 pm

Politics Taster Lecture and Q&A 

You will experience a taster lecture demonstrating the teaching and research taking place at the University of Bristol. There will be time for questions following this.

3:30 pm - 4 pm

Networking Activity   

Meet our staff, students and other prospective students in a final networking session. This is a chance to ask any remaining questions before you depart.
