What to expect at your Mathematics and Computer Science Joint Honours offer holder event
Once you have received an offer to study at the University of Bristol, you will receive your email invitation to attend an offer holder event.
We have planned the day to provide you with a taste of studying your subject at Bristol as well as insights into making the most of student life here.
This event is for offer holders for the following courses:
- Mathematics and Computer Science (BSc)
- Mathematics and Computer Science (MEng)
If you are a Joint Honours student, you may attend Single Honours offer holder events for each part of your degree if you are unable to attend the Joint Honours event on this date.
Please book one subject from your Joint Honours degree using the booking form. If you would like to attend an event for the second subject on a different date, contact on visit-us@bristol.ac.uk +44 (0)117 394 1649 and the team will help arrange this for you.

Hear from our admissions tutor about studying Mathematics at Bristol, typical offers, course options and the learning environment.

Tutorials and Chat with students
During this time there will be a separate optional Q&A session for Parents and Carers.
Prospective students are invited to take part in a short group tutorial session run by one of our academics. This session will give you a taste of what it is like to study maths at degree level. Join our current students for an informal chat over tea and coffee. This is a chance for you to network with current students and other prospective students.

Parents and Carers Q&A
This session is optional but is a chance for Parents and Carers to put their questions to our Admissions Tutor.
1:45 pm - 2:15 pm
Maths current Student talk
Two current students will talk to you about their experiences of studying Mathematics at Bristol. This talk is only for prospective students.
You will be escorted to your next part of the day by our ambassadors.
2:30 pm - 2:45 pm
Computer Science Registration
A warm welcome for offer-holders where you will be introduced to our staff and given the information you need for the session.

Academic Lecture
A mini lecture delivered by School of Computer Science academics.

You'll undertake an activity to give you a bitesize Computer Science degree experience.

Parents Talk
A Q&A with our current students, and an academic. An opportunity for the parents to ask any questions they may have.
