We have planned the day to provide you with a taste of studying your subject at Bristol as well as insights into making the most of student life here.

Geography Registration and Welcome 

A warm welcome to the School of Geographical Sciences. Light refreshments (tea, coffee, biscuits) will be provided. This is an opportunity to meet and chat informally about our programme

Human/Physical Geography Taster 

The group splits, and half will experience a 'taster' session in Human Geography in the Haggett Computer Lab while the other half will be in our Teaching Lab.  

Both groups will learn about the important questions we have in both human and physical geography and learn some of the methods we employ to answer them. This will be delivered by one of our world-leading experts. 

11:15 am - 12 pm 

Human/Physical Geography Taster 

The groups will switch, giving all the opportunity to learn about both our human and physical geography teaching 

12 pm - 12:30 pm 

Student Perspectives on Bristol Geography 

Our students will round off the day by giving their own perspective on our programme and our teaching, from the type of assessments to expect to fieldtrips. 

12:30 pm - 1:45 pm 

You will have time here to have a break and then make your way over to the next part of your day
