What to expect at your Education Studies offer holder event
Once you have received an offer to study at the University of Bristol, you will receive your email invitation to attend an offer holder event.
We have planned the day to provide you with a taste of studying your subject at Bristol as well as insights into making the most of student life here.
This event is for offer holders for the following courses:
- Education Studies (BSc)
- Education Studies with Study Abroad (BSc)
1 pm - 1:15 pm
Registration
A warm welcome to the School of Education, where you will be greeted by our Academic staff and student ambassadors with the information you need for your day.
1:15 pm - 1:35 pm
Welcome to the School of Education
You will be able to hear about how the course is taught and student experience in the school. You will also have a chance to network meet students who study course, our academics and other offer holders.
1:45 pm - 2:15 pm
Taster Lecture
You will experience a taster lecture demonstrating the teaching and research taking place at the University of Bristol.
1:45 pm - 2:15 pm
Parents and carers talk
Hear from the School of Education as they outline the student experience, with an opportunity to have your questions answered by staff.
2:20 pm - 2:50 pm
Seminar
We will break out into smaller groups for interactive sessions covering content from the Education Studies and Psychology in Education programmes.
3 pm - 3:20 pm
Networking Session
A chance for you to network with current students and offer holders.
3:20 pm - 3:45 pm
Q&A and Wrap Up
This is your chance to ask final questions about life and teaching in the School of Education, as well as your future career beyond University.
