CertHE Foundation in Science, Engineering and Mathematics

Interviews for the CertHE Foundation in Science, Engineering and Mathematics will take place at the University campus.

We aim to send invitations to those we would like to interview in April, after the application deadline and when all applications have been reviewed. We anticipate interviews taking place in late April/early May 2026.

We appreciate that it may not be possible for all interviews to be held in person. We ask that you let us know as soon as possible if you cannot attend your interview in person so that we can discuss if alternative arrangements can be offered (either an online interview or an interview at another time).

You may be eligible for your travel expenses to be reimbursed through our travel bursary.

You will be asked to complete a maths-related activity to discuss with the panel and complete a separate maths test. To prepare for the maths test we would suggest that you concentrate on improving your skills in the GCSE topics algebra, number, and geometry. If you plan to undertake independent maths revision we recommend that you look at GCSE Higher Tier revision resources and old GCSE exam questions. We will not be able to provide any further information about this activity before the interview to ensure no candidates are disadvantaged.

Interviews held in person on campus will include a tour of the relevant faculty and study spaces as part of your visit.
