Qualifications
An upper second-class honours degree (or international equivalent) in an appropriate subject.

English language requirements
For applicants whose first language is not English, it is necessary to achieve a minimum score in an approved English language test specified in 'Profile B' of the University's English Language Requirements Policy.
Application process and supporting documents required
To apply for this programme please complete the online application form, and provide the following documents:
- Two references from referees familiar with the applicant’s academic work.
- Personal statement
- Verified degree transcripts and certification (transcripts must detail subjects taken and grades achieved).
- Language testing certification (if applicable)
- Proof that your first degree was taught in English (if applicable)
Selection process
Each application for the MSc in Human Geography: Society and Space is considered by the MSc Course Director. All applications are assessed on individual merit.
We do not normally require applicants to attend for interview.

Offers
We aim to process complete applications and to make offers within 21 days of receipt of all supporting documents required.
An unconditional offer will be made where applicants have already met the conditions and provided evidence that conditions have been met. Where academic requirements have not yet been met, a conditional offer for the applicant to meet those requirements will be made. The deadline for this is 1st August prior to the commencement of the course.
Applicants are able to defer their place for one year, after which applicants will need to reapply.
International self-funding students are required to pay a £1,000 deposit. Further information will be provided in your offer document, and payment can be made online on the programme deposits payments website.
