Mature and part-time students

Starting at University is an exciting time with lots of changes to get used to. As a mature or part-time student studying at foundation or Undergraduate level there is some additional information you may find helpful.
Make sure you read the rest of our information for new students too.

You can get support from the Mature Students' and Peer Support Adviser and the Mature Student Advocates. We are here to help you settle in and make the best possible start in your studies.

You will have support throughout your course from someone in your department, such as a personal tutor who is there to help you.

You can also request a current mature student as your peer mentor.

Mature student mingles

Mingles are an opportunity to meet with other mature students, Mature Student Advocates and the Mature Student Adviser.  These are currently taking place on line due to the current situation. It's still a great opportunity to meet other students, across all years, and to take a breather. Ask questions, chat and share experiences in an informal setting. Open to all students in all years. We aim to return to in person Mingles in September 2021
