Our Annual Aegis Innovation Competition challenges students to turn bold ideas into real-world innovation. With the support of training and mentorship, they compete for the chance to win up to £5000.

Would you like to mentor one of our AIC teams?

Each year, we need mentors to keep the competition running. Our mentors:

Provide examples from their own experiences on developing solutions for real world scientific problems.
Act as a sounding board for the team.
Provide encouragement.
Provide a few sentences on team working (e.g. who did what, challenges they faced etc), which will contribute towards the Effective Team Working assessment criteria.

Mentors also get the opportunity to connect with our Aegis Professors at the AIC Celebration day, and even act as judges themselves.
