Our Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning group brings together researchers working on the development, application, and understanding of intelligent computational systems.
The group’s research spans both fundamental and applied aspects of artificial intelligence and machine learning, including work on automated reasoning, causal inference, collective behaviour, computer vision, decision making under uncertainty, explainable and human-centred AI, information retrieval, knowledge representation, multi-agent systems, natural language processing, probabilistic modelling, reinforcement learning, robotics, simulation and responsible and ethical AI.
Through interdisciplinary collaboration, our group seeks to advance the state of the art in machine intelligence and to address real-world challenges across science, engineering, medicine, and society.
