Good research practice and training
Support
Our research community is supported by website information, education, training, policies and hands-on support from the Research Governance Team during the set up and conduct of studies to help ensure a high level of compliance with legislation and guidance in relation to research ethics and integrity. For related information, see our policies and guidance and quality assurance pages.
Reviews
The quality assurance process for the University is annually reviewed by the University Ethics of Research Committee. This committee receives feed-back from internal audits and monitoring processes as well as inspections from statutory bodies which inform the success of the quality assurance program. An annual report is received from the Human Tissue Working Group, all Faculty Research Ethics Committees, the Home Office Licence Team and the Head of Research Governance to comply with the requirements of the Concordat to support Research Integrity. This process can identify areas that need further development.
