University Research Fellowships

University Research Fellowship (URF) award enables academic staff (pathway 1) to carry out a dedicated research project lasting twelve months. The financial support covers the costs of replacement teaching, assessment and clinical responsibilities during that period.

The URF nomination process for 2022/23 applicants will remain the same as for 2021/22: Awards to be made by Faculties.

Departments/Schools and Faculties will need to set their own internal deadlines for the receipt of URF nominations - please check with your Faculty Office for details.

Faculties must submit their URF awards for 2022/23 by 5pm, Fri 18 February 2022.
