A Non-Pharmacological Intervention for Anxiety in Academic Settings

This study investigates individual stress responses in anxious environments with the aim of identifying effective countermeasures to help academics manage stress in university settings.

What does the study involve?

Participants will complete a short pre-study questionnaire prior to attending an hour-long in-person session in Bristol. The session will investigate how individuals respond to mildly stressful academic environments and will explore effective stress management techniques. Refreshments will be provided. Participants will win one of seven vouchers in return for their time (1 x £100, 2 x £50, 4 x £25 available).

 

Eligibility Requirements

  • Aged 18- 60 years old
  • Have an academic background (e.g. student, graduate, researcher)
  • 1 Hour of your time to participate in the study
  • Must not be clinically diagnosed with any mood and/or anxiety disorders
