Perceiving the Toughness of a Virtual Object

30 March 2023

This study is no longer running, please refer to our main experiments page: http://www.bristol.ac.uk/psychology/experiments/

We are conducting research to advance understanding of perceptual cognition in the field of human-computer interaction.

This online study aims to understand the perceptual toughness (break-ability) of virtual objects, through virtual impact testing (a method used to test the toughness of a material) and principles of ecological psychology (a non-representational theory of perception). Anybody who meets the study criteria is welcome to take part. Participation should take ~15 minutes.

On completion of the study participants will have an opportunity to enter a prize draw for one of two £25 Amazon vouchers.
