An Investigation into the Role of Arousal in Decision-Making

This study requires participants to attend our laboratory at the University of Bristol for around 1 Hour. We are conducting an investigation into the role of arousal, measured by pupil-size, and everyday decision-making. The study will take one hour to complete and the participants completing the experiment will receive a £10 voucher AND will be entered into a draw to win £100 voucher.

During your visit you will complete a computer-based decision-making task, whilst we simultaneously track pupil-dilation, non-invasively, using an eye-tracking software.

The study takes around 1 HOUR to complete and you will receive a £10 Amazon voucher for your time.

You will FURTHER be entered into a draw to win a further £100 Amazon Voucher.

To Participate in this Study:

  • You must be over 18 years old
  • Have normal vision i.e., NOT wear glasses or contact lenses to correct your vision. This is simply due to confounds that may be introduced with the eye-tracking software
  • NOT be currently taking any dopamine reuptake inhibitors (NDRIs) or serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs) and or any other antidepressant or anti-anxiety medications. This is due to the possibility of biased results.
