The Effects of Mood on Perceptions of Food

The study involves:

  • Attending a 2-part laboratory session, lasting up to 4 hours, with a break in between
  • Eating cheese and tomato pizza and chocolate biscuits
  • Completing questionnaires and computer tasks

During the study you will be offered free food and after your participation you will be offered a £10 Amazon voucher.

To take part in this study you must:

  • Be assigned female at birth
  • Be aged between 18 and 60
  • Be willing to not consume food or calorie-containing drinks 3 hours before the study session
  • Be willing to remain in test room for up to 4 hours without personal electronic devices (A laptop can be provided but not connected to the internet)
  • Be willing to not consume food or calorie-containing drinks during the break
  • Not be vegan
  • Not be allergic to wheat, milk, soya, oats or any other ingredient in cheese and tomato pizza or chocolate biscuits and willing to consume these
  • Not be taking appetite altering medication (except oral contraception)
