Information evening

Professor Nick Brook, Head of School, introduced the School of Physics (PDF, 2,398kB). Next Dr. Velthuis introduced the project. Mr. Schadenberg showed lots of interesting examples (PDF, 3,086kB) of things that can be done by students with HiSparc and showed some of the teaching materials available. Mr. Pickard explained the structure (Office document, 342kB) of the collaboration agreement letter (Office document, 701kB) that schools will need to sign to join the project. Ms. Addey gave an overview of IOP funding (Office document, 187kB) available to schools. Mr. Knox presented the funding model/tool (Office document, 1,792kB) that his company developed.

The evening was brought to a close with a visit to the detector.
