Biography
Dr Lucy Pocock is an academic GP and co-leads the University of Bristol’s Palliative and End of Life Care Research Group. Formerly a teacher, Lucy retrained to work as a doctor in 2005 and she is now practicing as a GP in South Gloucestershire.
Following the death of a close friend whilst she was at medical school, Lucy is committed to improving care for people at the end of life. Lucy is currently studying for a PhD, exploring the communication of poor prognosis between hospital clinicians and GPs.
