I have been teaching in UK higher education since 2017, covering a wide range of social science modules, including Social Identities, Ethnicity and Racism, Key Social Thinkers, Thinking Politically, Development Studies, Sustainable Development, Politics of the Global South, Global Politics, Social Research Methods. Through my roles as a lecturer, dissertation supervisor, and seminar leader, I have read extensive academic literature and supported critical literature engagement development in line with university marking rubrics. 

My PhD, awarded in 2022, adopts an epistemological decolonial stance to make visible tensions between civic and ethnic channels of integration on university campuses, which remains a central focus of my research. I have led/co-led projects examining university curricula and minoritised experiences in the modern world, whether they are of women academics, ECR/PGR with care duties, international students, or people of ethnic Chinese backgrounds. My work has been published in academic books and peer-reviewed journals, including Journal of Contemporary Religion, Educational Review, and the British Journal of Sociology of Education.  

I worked on development projects in China and Ethiopia, which led me to complete an MSc in East Asian Development and Global Economy. I also hold an MA in Applied Linguistics and Pedagogy, which brings an international, interdisciplinary perspective to my teaching and research.
