Research interests
I am a methodologist interested in the optimization and application of statistical methods in health and social sciences.
My primary research activity is related to the development, assessment, and application of methods for systematic reviews and meta-analysis. I am interested in statistical methods for meta-analysis, and I have several past and ongoing collaborations intended to help researchers choose the most suitable meta-analytic methods in different situations. Moreover, I have performed the analyses and provided statistical advice in many projects that involved applying pairwise meta-analysis, meta-regression and network meta-analysis to different health-related topics.
Another research line is concerned with the well-being of children and young people. I have been involved in several projects using data resources such as the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children in the UK and school records in Spain.
