Teaching
I am enthusiastic to convey the importance research outcomes and evidence-based practice for health professions. I lead workshops and a year 4 project ‘Evidence Summary’ within the Theme of Evidence-Based Practice Theme. I organise formative feedback and marking of the reports and provide support and mentorship to staff undertaking the role of project mentor. I instigated collaboration with NICE to include peer teaching on evidence-based healthcare and have since adapted this for the new curriculum to include peer assessment.
I retain my interests as a cancer biologist, contributing teaching and assessment to the final year BSc programme in Cellular and Molecular Medicine and the Year 2 Human Disease Theme of the dental programme.
