Research interests
My general research interests are in the pathogenesis of Head and Neck squamous cell carcinoma, the identification of potential biomarkers and biobanking. I am a member of the Head and Neck 5000 planning group and assist in coordinating the collection and transfer of biological samples and linked pathological data from participating units across the UK. I currently contribute to several externally funded multi-centre studies. These aim to determine the incidence of oncogenic HPV infection in patients diagnosed with oropharyngeal carcinoma in the UK and to seek potential biomarker combinations that may predict treatment outcome.
