Bristol academic awarded Future Leaders Fellowship

Dr Adam Perriman from the University of Bristol's School of Cellular and Molecular Medicine has been named as one of the recipients of the UK Research and Innovation's (UKRI) new Future Leaders Fellowships. The initiative, which aims to support the very best early career researchers and innovators to help them tackle global challenges, was announced today [Tuesday 7 May] by Chris Skidmore, Minister of State, Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.

Bristol research trio to experience ‘life on Mars’

The future of space exploration will be placed in the hands of three engineers and scientists from the University of Bristol when they embark on a special expedition to experience life on Mars. Aerospace engineering PhD student Ashley Dale is leading the six-strong team, who were selected to spend two weeks at the Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) in the high-altitude Utah desert - one of the most Mars-like environments on Earth.
