The announcement of a groundbreaking clinical trial led by the University's Dementia Research Group, that hopes to discover if a drug commonly used to treat high blood pressure could slow down the progression of Alzheimer’s disease, was the front-page story on the Daily Express and was covered by the Evening Post, The Times of India and Bristol 24-7. Lead researcher Dr Patrick Kehoe was also interviewed on BBC Radio Bristol's Saturday Surgeryabout the trial on Saturday 9 March.
