Capitalism, Neoliberalism and Poverty

Hosted by the Bristol Poverty Institute

Join the BPI for an exploration of how issues relating to capitalism and poverty intersect, what it means for society, and what options there are to tackle challenging repercussions such as inequality. This event will kick off with presentations on the topic including one that touches on 'disaster capitalism' and its underwriters, capitalism and neoliberalism, and another that will look at a potential solution in Universal Basic Income (UBI). We will then move in to a discussion where everyone will be welcome to share their thoughts.

More information and a registration page will be shared in due course: https://www.bristol.ac.uk/poverty-institute/events/2025/capitalism-neoliberalism-and-poverty.html
