Research conversations: Using virtual reality to treat post-stroke shoulder pain

During this research conversation, Avgi Christodoulou, will talk about about her PhD research involving the co-creation of a virtual reality treatment for post-stroke shoulder pain.

Through a series of workshops, Avgi will be collaborating with healthcare professionals and people with lived experience of stroke to develop a solution that is practical, effective, and meets real-world needs, improving outcomes for people with stroke.

Avgi Christodoulou is a neurological specialist physiotherapist with a strong interest in stroke recovery.

She is currently completing her PhD at the University of the West of England (UWE), focusing on developing innovative treatments for post-stroke complications, particularly shoulder pain.
