Her name was Sita - Film screening and panel event. An exploration of womanhood, virtue, shame and suicide in Nepal

Bristol Suicide and Self Harm (SASH) Research Group are delighted to announce the screening of a public engagement film they have been involved with developing in collaboration with the Centre for Pesticide Suicide Prevention at the University of Edinburgh

It’s a short documentary film exploring the concept of a virtuous woman and how culture, shame and honour can lead to self-harm in Nepal. There will be a panel discussion afterwards with refreshments.
