Bristol Neuroscience's Memory Hub is hosting a one-day writing retreat at Southmead Hospital to provide a dedicated space for drafting abstracts, an idea for a funding bid, a journal publication, or any other document that other commitments rarely allow time for.
We hope that holding the retreat away from the main campus will allow researchers to step away from their inboxes and other office distractions to fully focus on their writing.
We anticipate offering a brief introductory session on the new funding opportunities platform Pivot-RP which may serve to identify possible funding schemes, which could consequently lead to round tables discussions for those wishing to discuss potential collaborations/ideas.
The seminar rooms can be divided to provide both quiet and communal spaces for people to write either individually or as a small group.
Please note the room needs to be vacated 12.00-12.30 during which time attendees are encouraged to take a break and eat/buy lunch. There is a cafe on site. Please note that lunch will not be provided. Refreshments will be available.
Whilst the retreat is hosted by the Memory Hub, all are very welcome, regardless of research focus, space permitting.
