Clinical Research Start-up and Support (CReSS) workshops are for clinical researchers in UHBW and colleagues in local universities, who are undertaking a new study, preparing a grant application, or wanting to know how to get started in research. The main aim of the CReSS workshops is to provide guidance and peer-support for early-stage researchers.
As part of the CReSS programme, we are running a virtual workshop (via Teams) for anyone who is planning to apply for a Bristol and Weston Hospitals Charity or RCF grant (next closing date 30/04/2024) or wishing to know more about the scheme.
These sessions are open to any medical or non-medical UHBW employee or university academic holding an honorary contract with UHBW. University academics considering an application are strongly encouraged to do so in collaboration with UHBW clinicians.
Workshop content includes:
- how to complete the application form
- how to set up and manage a BWHC or RCF grant
- who to contact for support at each stage of the process
- how to identify eligible costs
